Communal Sessions
A communal sauna and cold plunge session designed to invigorate body and mind. Move between soothing heat and refreshing cold water at your own pace, encouraging relaxation, circulation, and a shared sense of wellbeing. A welcoming, social experience that leaves you feeling energised, calm, and refreshed.
Come alone or with a friend, everyone is welcome. -
Private Sessions
Exclusively enjoy our beautiful sauna and cold plunges for 90 minutes with your friends. Up to 10 people.

Guided Sessions
A guided session designed for warmth, connection, and renewal. Enjoy the wood-fired sauna with aromatherapy steam and a refreshing whisky barrel cold plunge in a relaxed, inclusive space.
Both communal & private options available.

The Experience

Our sauna is heated the old-fashioned way: by fire, not switches. The crackle of the stove, the scent of wood, and the steady rise of heat create a deep, restorative warmth you don’t get from electric saunas.
Inside, it’s hot, quiet, and unhurried. Outside, the sea stretches out in front of you—always changing, always grounding.

Based at House of the Northern Gate, Seaview Sauna overlooks the coast of Caithness, surrounded by big skies, open water, and the raw beauty of the north. It’s peaceful, bracing, and a little bit wild—exactly how it should be.

Why Wood-Fired?
Wood-fired heat is softer, deeper, and more alive. It warms you slowly and evenly, encouraging relaxation rather than endurance. Pour water on the stones, feel the löyly rise, and let your breathing settle.
